Yeah, I’ve always kind of appreciated the artistic aspect of dentistry where, getting to work with my hands, getting to work with people, and just kind of trying to improve someone’s life, and getting to know them at the same time. Had a patient that kind of walked out skipping the other day, because we finally got her the result that we were looking for, and so that was a big relief for everybody. We were all very happy and also smiling, laughing with her along with the process. So, that’s definitely one of the most rewarding aspects, is just having ability just to brighten a day for somebody, much less like help their life as well.
Meet Dr. Tom Carwile, a Gentle & Caring Dentist
Dr. Tom Carwile has been in the dental field since 2017 and joined our team in 2020. He became a dentist because he loves working with his hands and appreciates the artistic nature of dentistry.
A member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, Dr. Carwile graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Letters and a Bachelor of Science in zoology. He also graduated with special distinctions from dental school and was recognized with many honors, including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Certificate of Academic Achievement, the Robert T. Probst award for research, and pediatric honors. But his achievements and love for learning didn’t stop there. He furthered his training with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency and completes continuing education courses every year.
Our patients love Dr. Carwile because he is gentle, friendly, and takes time to explain diagnoses and treatments. Getting to know his patients is his favorite part of being a dentist! When he isn’t in the office, he can be found working out at the gym, gardening, reading, cooking, or just spending time on the patio.
