I enjoy coming to LakeCrest Dentistry because I feel like it’s family. I mean, they treat me like I’m their only patient. Dr. Rogers is always very professional and always takes time to see me, explain all the procedures, and I just feel very comfortable and very confident in the services that I’m receiving. I tell you, he’s given me a million-dollar smile for just a few dollars. I’ve had the Invisalign here, and it’s been amazing. I mean, from a guy that had to smile a lot but didn’t really want to, to I feel like now I can smile and people are like, “Your smile is beautiful.” Then, of course, I get the regular cleanings, and if there’s any other things that’s wrong with my teeth, he always takes care of those. He’s just made me feel so much better about myself and my appearance and my overall dental. I would just like to thank them and LakeCrest Dental for the work that they’ve done on my mouth, my smile, my teeth, and just the confidence and the boosts that they’ve given me to make my job easier, and I feel like make me a better person.
I cannot say enough about Dr. John Rogers’ chair manner. I mean, I am a super nervous person. I have to come to the dentist frequently. So when I do say that I do love coming here, it really does mean a lot. I mean, he did a root canal on me and I fell asleep. So I think that, as a dentist or any doctor, right, that’s providing you service, that level of comfortability and having that chairside manner is super important. The staff, I have nothing but great things to say. They are so timely. They’re really great about calling and letting me know when my appointment is. When I come in, I feel like I’m special, that I’m welcomed. I’m always welcomed with a smile. And I just feel like we have a family here.
Here at LakeCrest Dental, you can expect a calming atmosphere, particularly if you have any apprehension about dental care. You can expect that you will see Dr. Rogers and he will be so friendly and he will be so happy to see you. You’re really not very confident with yourself whenever you’re wearing a partial. The color doesn’t really match the rest of your teeth, and he was very informative about the process of getting a new smile. The end result made all the difference in the world because I’m not taking this and that out, I’m not waiting for something to fail, because with implants, which they did for my dentures, my top dentures here, it reinforces the bone. And I did have a lot of bone loss, and he and the staff really had to do some extra, extra work because there was more bone loss than he thought, and they did and they never made me feel like I was overburdening them. He’s given me a new smile, which has given me a lot of confidence. And the other reason I like coming here is because of the staff. All of the staff is very qualified, they’re professional. They’re always so happy, and that makes a visit here that can be uncomfortable, because dental work is not always the best, but they make your visit here very worthwhile and the best.
I got dental treatment fairly recently. I qualified for it through the VA fairly recently. The Tulsa clinic is extremely busy. I was having trouble with a bridge, a four-tooth bridge, it just didn’t feel comfortable. I felt like it was moving, and I couldn’t really explain that to the doctors how it was feeling because it was so unusual to me, I guess. I went in to see them about it, because it was paid for. I kept complaining about it, and the VA doctor down there finally basically, took a piece of dental floss, put it up inside the bridge, and she said, “Part of it’s loose, part of it’s fixed.” I had broken it and we couldn’t see it. So she said, “Okay, we’re gonna refer you out to a civilian doctor,” which, being in Claremore, this is where I got sent. He did that bridge, which was a four-tooth bridge, and I had another crown below it that he didn’t like the looks of it and recommended that it be changed, and the VA went along with that. So he did that four-tooth bridge and a crown, and I’m right now in the middle of getting another three-tooth bridge done by him. I can’t complain. I mean, everything – the teeth feel good when he’s done. They’re comfortable, and that goes a long way.
If I overheard somebody talking about they’re never going back to that dentist again, or “I don’t like my dentist,” I wouldn’t have any qualms whatsoever to turn around and strike up a conversation and say, “I just overheard you say … I can help you with that. Well, I can tell you who can help you with that, and you’ll like them from the moment you walk in.” People up front, whoever takes you back, makes sure you’re comfortable. I walk in here and they get me a drink of water. I haven’t even asked for a drink of water yet, but everyone should have water. Okay. But when I hear people say that fear of the dentist … my sister’s afraid of the dentist, and she’s the one who brought me here. I said, “Obviously this was pre-doctor Polly.” She said, “Yes.” I said, “Well, how does he make you feel now?” She goes, “Well, I like him a lot, just having a little trouble relaxing.” I said, “But your husband falls asleep at his office, that’s what he told me, he goes to get any work done and he falls asleep.” Now I don’t fall asleep, but I’m pretty close. You can’t not like it here. I’m looking at the trees outside, I’m looking at clouds. They have big picture windows that you look at when you’re in there having your work done. How can you not like that? Very comfortable.
I was expecting for my first root canal to like, be horrified. There were several times that Dr. Pahle said, “Can you feel that?” And I would say, “Yeah. I mean, I guess I can feel it, but it’s nothing major,” and he basically said, “I don’t want you to feel it at all.” So, it was his priority to ensure that I was as completely comfortable and relaxed as possible, and it seems like each time I’ve come in and had something done, I’ve been like, “That’s it?” You know. So, I’ve never felt a bit of pain. I’ve also heard horror stories about root canals afterwards. When the numbness wore off after mine, it was sensitive for 24 hours, but it wasn’t painful. There wasn’t anything horrifying. So, it kind of changed the whole face of what I thought about dentistry. Well, my oldest had to have an extraction, and that was the case where she was horrified, though I don’t think she could really feel it. She was just scared to death. He obviously said, “Let’s not continue. Let’s bring her back. Let her get comfortable with the idea.” When she came back, they had blankets on her. They were braiding her hair. They had a drink for her, and it was the kind of deal where after he had extracted the tooth, she was like, “That’s it?” You know, so it went incredibly smooth. They’ve had cleanings and by the time we leave here, they’re trying to stay and become dental assistants and doctors, so obviously a good experience for them.
I like coming to see Dr. Pahle mainly because the VA first referred me up here, and once I got here, they referred me up here for a broken bridge. Once I got my new bridge and treatment, I got to talking to the doctor and the technicians and everybody else in here. I just basically fell in love with these folks. The care is great. The people have been wonderful. I even left the other civilian dentist we were using and brought my wife over here also. We’ve both just been super pleased with the care and treatment we’ve received. Can’t say anything negative. Every time I come in, you’re greeted warmly by the staff, the folks. The office staff out here have always been warm and friendly. Then I get back into the back and talk to the technicians back there, the young ladies that work on you, and they’re fabulous. They’re good at what they do, and it shows in basically the treatment I get. It shows how well they care about what they’re doing, and it reflects in basically how my teeth feel afterwards. Exceptional group of people, and that makes it easy to come in, and fun.
Oh, Dr. Pahle, he is so kind. He is patient. He is courteous. He is very competent at what he does. He’s a gentle soul. I really like Dr. Pahle. Well, Dr. Pahle is just really good with kids. He really is. Like I said, Paula has assisted both of the times that we had to do extractions with Marcus, and they used the (inaudible), which is always good, happy gas. Dr. Pahle was really good to say, “Now, if you have any discomfort, just lift your finger.” And when he was doing the three extractions within the last month or so because Marcus is getting ready to have orthodontics done, Marcus raised his finger once or twice, and Dr. Pahle was really good to say, “Okay.” He took the necessary actions, waited two or three minutes and came back, and they continued. We did that a couple of times, and, as a result, Marcus was very confident that his needs were going to be met. Dr. Pahle’s really good at talking to him, talking him through things. Paula is really great at doing that too.
We can see you as soon as tomorrow!
